Nourishing both the mind and the body is one of the principles of Montessori Education. For a child to be successful, both the body and the mind must be satisfied. To this end, our lunch and snack program will be organic in nature with an emphasis on whole foods whenever possible. An organic bakery makes our breads and baked goods and a caterer specializing in healthy children’s meals provides our main lunch menu.  Through these two sources we are able to provide a natural means to satisfying the dietary requirements of growing children. We are also able to accommodate special dietary requirements and restrictions if requested.

Sample Weekly Menu

Day Lunch Menu
Monday
Swedish meatballs, rice with vegetables and bread and butter; served with milk.
Tuesday 
Chicken nuggets and potatoes with vegetables and bread and butter; served with milk.
Wednesday 
Macaroni and cheese with carrot/celery sticks and bread with butter; served with milk.
Thursday 
Spaghetti with meat sauce, salad and bread sticks; served with milk.
Friday 
Fish and rice with vegetables and bread and butter; served with milk.

 

Morning and afternoon snacks consist of seasonal fruit and crackers, rice cakes or bread.

Substitutions can be made upon request for dietary restrictions/allergies.
